Attention Juniors and Seniors! If you are wondering how you will be able to pay for college and need assistance in the scholarship search process, please come by the College & Career Center. After you fill out a short Scholarship Search Form, we will help you research. Together we will find scholarships that match your criteria.

Below are some scholarship opportunities for you to look into. We recommend you review the scholarship requirements to determine if you are eligible before you apply. It is up to students and parents to identify viable scholarship opportunities.*

Nevada Promise

Established by the Nevada Legislature in 2017, the Nevada Promise Scholarship provides last-dollar financial aid to Nevada students attending any of the state’s four community colleges: College of Southern Nevada, Great Basin College, Truckee Meadows Community College, or Western Nevada College.

Public Education Foundation

The Public Education Foundation offers more than 260 different scholarship opportunities for Southern Nevada’s high school seniors to attend both in-state and out-of-state schools.

Rotary Club

The Las Vegas Southwest Rotary Club will award one $9,600 Academic Scholarship to a graduating senior for the academic year 2018-2019 who intends to attend a public college or university in Nevada.

University of Nevada, Reno

Merit based gift aid for Nevada students.

Unigo

RaiseMe

From the website: RaiseMe enables students to earn scholarships throughout high school, starting as early as 9th grade, for doing all the things that best prepare them to succeed, whether that’s getting good grades, volunteering in the community or joining an extracurricular.

The College Board

The organization responsible for the SAT and AP exams also provides scholarship opportunities.

From the Website: Founded in 1994, QuestBridge is a national nonprofit based in Palo Alto, California that connects the nation’s most exceptional, low-income youth with leading colleges and opportunities.

Quest Bridge

Weber State offer four-year tuition waivers for new freshmen. Get good grades and apply to Weber State before December 1st of your senior year. Maintain full-time status (12 credits) and a 2.5 WSU cumulative GPA.

Although not a scholarship, the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is an agreement among WICHE’s 16 member states and territories, through which 160+ participating public colleges and universities provide steep nonresident tuition savings for Western students.
